Description
For all to listen to the ocean
The EU4Ocean Coalition will participate in European Maritime Day 2025 in Cork to promote ocean literacy and public engagement. The Coalition will highlight the work of its three communities: the EU4Ocean Platform, the Youth4Ocean Forum and the Network of European Blue Schools. Its activities will aim to raise awareness, encourage participation and support local and European collaboration.
With the EU4Ocean, visitors will discover the ongoing MakeEUBlue: Cities in Action campaign. We will also feature the Challenge of the Year and host the MakeEUBlue Awards ceremony, recognising excellence in ocean literacy.
The Coalition will also host a series of side events throughout the week. These events follow the theme Ocean Sounds and offer creative and participatory experiences related to marine soundscapes, noise pollution and community action. Developed in collaboration with local and European partners, the programme aims to reach new audiences and strengthen partnerships.
Where else can you find us?
During both days of European Maritime Day, visit the EU4Ocean booth to learn more about our campaigns, educational tools and community activities. Discover interactive resources from all three communities and explore opportunities to get involved.
Attend the MakeEUBlue Awards ceremony, where the winners of this year’s call will be announced. Public voting will open before the event, and all proposals will be available for online review.
